Half of the proceeds from each ticket purchased, will go directly back to the Potvin family. Seats are $15 in the Attack Zone (regularly $22) and $22 in the Premium Section (regularly $29).  Ardrey Neighborhood believes "Change" will make a difference in supporting the Potvin family. Their 7 year old twin daughter, Ellie, was diagnosed in July 2008 with a rare pediatric cancer. Her survival rate over 5 years is less than 30%, but our goal is find a cure. Ellie will not become a statistic. The Charlotte Community is invited to attend this Fundraising Event on January 24th, starting at 8:00pm at the neighborhood clubhouse. History Ellie Shoal Potvin, a precious child known for “Specializing in being Kind” at only 6 years of age, Ellie was diagnosed July 2, 2008 with a rare childhood cancer called Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma. To her parents shock they learned only 3% of children in the United States have this type of rare pediatric cancer. Out of the 350 children total diagnosed per year, only 175 children have a survival rate past 5 years. The Potvin family is devastated by this crushing prognosis, yet have promised not stop fighting the odds till their precious twin daughter, Ellie, is cured of all cancer. Mission In honor of Ellie’s fight for her life, and her kind giving spirit that touches everyone she meets, the mission of the “Lift Up Ellie Fund” is to find the cure for Ellie and ease the effects of this devastating illness on the family’s day to day life. Your donations will ease the financial burdens placed on Ellie’s family, and allow her parents to provide the best, most cutting edge, medical and holistic treatments available in the world. Plus, allows her adoring mother, Amy Potvin, to provide Ellie with the 24/7 hourly care needed to act as her bedside nurse, caretaker, best friend, home school teacher and Mommy. The Potvin Family has no control on the number of days they will blessed with Ellie’s joy filled spirit on earth. But the family’s mission is to make everyday the best possible day of her life and provide the best medical treatment available to fight and cure Ellie of all cancer cells within her small body. Program The “Lift Up Ellie Fund” is a Supplemental Needs Trust Fund created for Ellie Shoal Potvin. This fund will be able to offer various forms of financial relief for the family over the next long 5 years or more. There are few fundraising causes more important than a family struggling to pay medical bills for a child. Anyone who has ever had an extended stay at a hospital know about the outrageous costs of medical care. We ask for your charitable donations to allow them the Potvin family to help ease the burden of the high medical bills, traveling to hospitals and incorporating holistic therapy into her treatment plan. Plus, allowing Ellie’s Mom, Amy Potvin, to stay at home (no longer work outside the home) to care and provide for her very sick child. |
